Annual Refresher for First Aiders
Included
- Compliance with current legislation, with a maximum of 12 individuals per course.
- There is no requirement for a manual per student for this course as one would have been issued as part of 'First Aid at Work' course, your instructor will have details of how to purchase if required.
- Continual & formative assessment of students by trainer.
- Certification of of attendance will be issued.
Objectives
- Assess the situation in an emergency.
- Administer first aid to a casualty unconscious and or in a seizure.
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding and or in shock.
- Manage a casualty who is in shock.
- Understand how to manage a casualty with a minor injury.

- Resusitation.
- Actions for vomit.
- Wounds, bleeding & foreign objects.

- Hygiene.
Introduction
- This course is set over 1 day.
- To do this course you must have a copy of your original in-date First Aid at Work certificate.
- Valid for 1 years from course date
- Spaces are limited to a maximum of 12 people on any one course.
Aim
- Enable individuals to provide effective first aid to a casualty in the workplace, using materials at hand & approved first aid equipment.
