About Responsive First Aid Training

  • Located in Plymouth, we provide courses throughout Devon & Cornwall, with the aim of making the experience of learning as enjoyable & memorable as we possibly can.​
  • As a First Aid Training provider, we offer a range of courses at an affordable cost to you. Ensuring that excellent standards are achieved with no compromises. 

Having joined the Royal Navy (RN) at the age of 21, I qualified as a Medical Assistant (or Medic) in Dec, 2000. After qualifying, I enjoyed placements that ranged from being a Health Care Assistant and working on wards to providing Medical Cover for Royal Marines (RM) and working on board HM Ships. ​

After qualifying as a Defence First Aid Instructor in 2003, I found myself being employed in the role of Instructor more frequently, as it was my duty to instruct the new RM recruits and later the Ships Company of the Ships I was employed aboard.​​​
​

My last years in the RN were spent working as a full time First Aid Instructor in the Lead First Aid School, based in Cornwall. Whilst employed in this role, I was directly involved in the development of the new Basic First Aid Course, delivered to all RN and RM recruits.​​​

​​

This experience, obtained throughout a career of caring, mentoring and instructing, puts me in the best position to tailor a bespoke First Aid course for your needs.
